Winemaking in the winery at Elizabeth Chambers Cellar in McMinnville, Oregon

Drew Voit, Winemaker

Drew Voit, Winemaker at Elizabeth Chambers Cellar

I’m delighted to reunite with the Chambers family and help Elizabeth Chambers Cellar to craft a lineup of terroir-driven single vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from some of the best vineyards in the Willamette Valley.

– Drew Voit

Drew Voit, Head Winemaker is responsible for Elizabeth Chambers Cellar’s winemaking and vineyard relations. He is working to establish Elizabeth Chambers Cellar as one of the valley’s most coveted brands.

The hiring of Voit is full-circle for both the Chambers family, and for Drew himself. In 1998, Liz Chambers hired him as the Assistant Winemaker for Silvan Ridge Winery, her family’s winery in Eugene, where he worked for six years before the desire to make Pinot Noir led him to the Dundee Hills.

For the next eight years, Voit honed his craft working for two of the valley’s most iconic brands:

  • 2004 – 2008 – Associate Winemaker for Domaine Serene
  • 2008 – 2012 – Head Winemaker for Shea Wine Cellars

He is currently Owner and Proprietor of Harper Voit, a small, ultra-premium producer of Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, as well as owner of DHV Wine Company, providing custom crush services to small producers.

Bob Taylor, Cellar Master

Robert Taylor, Cellar Master at Elizabeth Chambers Cellar

Robert Taylor hails from the fine city of Rochester, NY, a not far removed destination from the Finger Lakes. A graduate of the University of Dayton with a dual major in Communication and Political Science,  Robert moved to Oregon in 2006 to change careers and pursue a degree in Winemaking and Vineyard Management.

For the past 12 years, he has worked in the wine industry as a Vineyard Manager and Cellar Master and most recently was a Head Cidermaker for 5 years. In addition to his cellar chops, he is also a Taurus and has an expansive vocabulary.

When not working in the cellar, Robert spends his time with his amazing wife Lisa, their two perfect children Winston and Margaret, and the 6-year-old Newfoundland Shasta; who always needs a bath.
